Returns: 7-Day Window for Change of Mind

Conditions for Acceptance

You can return an item within 7 days of delivery at your cost, provided you meet the following conditions:

  • Keep the product unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging;
  • Do not alter, assemble, or soil the product; and
  • Email admin@ywf.co.za within 7 days with your order number and proof of purchase.

This right of return aligns with Section 44(2) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions (ECT) Act 25 of 2002 . As a result, you enjoy a legally protected cooling-off period for online purchases.

Refunds and Timing

Processing Steps

After we receive and inspect your return, we notify you of the outcome. If approved, we process your refund to the original payment method within 21 working days. Because we allocate materials to each order, this period allows us to complete quality checks and recover stock. However, delivery fees remain non-refundable unless we made an error.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

Your Rights under the CPA

If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault within six months, contact us promptly with photos and your order number. Under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), you may request a repair, replacement, or refund. Therefore, please notify us without delay.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-made or personalised furniture, unless defective under the CPA;
  • Products damaged after delivery due to misuse, neglect, or improper care;
  • Clearance items, unless they are defective.

Consequently, please consider your order carefully before confirming a purchase.

Exchanges

If you prefer an exchange, first complete the return process. Afterwards, we create a new order for the replacement. Lead-times will, however, depend on stock and current production schedules. In many cases, exchanges are quicker than refunds.
